The International Warrant issued for SIPA Deputy Director Zoran Galic

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and issued an order to issue a central and international warrant for the suspect Zoran Galić.

The decision was made today, with which SIPA Deputy Director Galić officially became a fugitive from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s judiciary.

Galić recently fled to Croatia, thus avoiding arrest in the operation codenamed “Kings”.

Through his lawyer, he announced that he was on sick leave, and asked to be relieved of his duties.

The Council of Ministers has been trying for several sessions to make a decision on his status, i.e. whether he will be relieved of his duties at his own request or replaced, which some ministers insist on.

Zoran Galić is under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to suspicion of committing criminal acts of accepting gifts and other forms of benefit and abuse of position or authority, during the period when he was the director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
