The chief Israeli military prosecutor spoke about the attack by the Israeli army on the refugee settlement in Rafah in the south of Gaza, in which more than 40 civilians were killed, and many were burned alive as a result of the fire.
Prosecutor Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi described the attack by the Israeli army as very serious and stated that the investigation is ongoing.
“The details are still under investigation. We are committed to implementing it to the fullest extent. The Israeli army regrets the harm caused to civilians during the war,” the prosecutor said.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces announced that they had targeted a Hamas compound and killed two of the group’s commanders.
However, extremely disturbing videos from the field showed how the Israeli army hit one of the improvised tent settlements where a large number of civilians, mostly women and children, were located.
