The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, will arrive today on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), where he will hold a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Bisera Turkovic.

As announced, a tête-à-tête meeting between Minister Turkovicand Minister Amir-Abdollahian will be held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, followed by a meeting of the delegations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

After the meeting, Turkovic and the Iranian foreign minister will address the public where they will talk about the results of the meeting, but also about the relations between BiH and Iran.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has been serving as Iran’s foreign minister since August 2021, and previously he served as Iran’s ambassador to Bahrain from 2007 to 2010.

Turkovic and the Iranian minister already met earlier this year in Munich, where they also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as overall relations between countries in the Balkans and the Middle East.

Before his visit to BiH, the Iranian head of diplomacy was in Serbia, where he held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, Klix.ba reports.
