The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska (RS)opened an investigation against Muharem ef. Stulanovic, a professor at the Islamic Pedagogical Faculty in Bihac, after a video recording of a sermon that is allegedly disputed was published on the Internet.
Nezavisne novine reports this information from a source close to the investigation, and as it has been officially confirmed, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of RS expects from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of this entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to perform checks.
“Here in the mosque, brothers, and that is the harsh reality of many individuals in our mosques and congregations, there is someone sitting with us who is individually precisely because of that genocidal creation that was born and came to life on January 9th, in the form of the genocidal creation of the RS, the day whom they celebrate, was left without 17 members of his closest relatives. Who, just so you know, did not get lost, as it is often said and presented, but were all killed and slaughtered only for the reason that they were not Serbs,” Stulanovic stated, among other things, in the aforementioned sermons.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS refers to the Criminal Code of the RS, which also contains the article “damaging the reputation of the RS and its peoples” (Article 280a). This criminal offense is punishable by imprisonment.
It is important to note that the speech was delivered on the territory of the Federation of BiH (FBiH), more specifically in Bihac, where the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS has no authority.
“The Public Prosecutor’s Office expects the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS to establish the authenticity of the video, perform all checks, and if it establishes grounds for suspicion that a criminal offense has been committed, submit a criminal report,” said the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the RS.
To recall, the chief imam of Majlis of Islamic Community (IZ)from Kozarac, Amir ef. Mahic, is also under the scrutiny of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office, who is accused of “spreading hatred” also in one of the sermons, which caused a lot of attention, Klix.ba reports.
