The Ministry of Republika Srpska paid more than 16 Million BAM of Incentives

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republika Srpska paid more than 16,353,680 BAM for incentives today, and premiums for milking cows, as well as premiums for fruits and vegetables, were paid.

This is also a record payment that was paid out in one day, and which arrives to farmers at the right time, before the preparatory work for spring sowing, i.e. the new production year, the relevant ministry announced.

The Ministry emphasized that with this payment, the obligations from last year towards fruit and vegetable growers were fully fulfilled, while for the first time since the introduction, the premium per head of milk was paid.

Only on the basis of the premium per head of milk, which amounted to 330 BAM per head, 10,342,870 BAM was paid to dairy farmers.

The number of users covered by this premium is 3,437, and the number of premium heads is 31,349. For the fruit premium, BAM 4,013,828 was paid to 977 fruit growers from the entire Republika Srpska, the Ministry stated.

The calculation was made for fruit in the amount of 27,462,140 kilograms, with the amounts of premiums which compared to last year are on average 80 percent higher, while the incentives for some fruit types are twice as high.

The Ministry added that 320 beneficiaries in the production of vegetables and five beneficiaries in the production of mushrooms achieved the right to the premium for produced and sold vegetables and mushrooms.

The calculation was made on the basis of 25,195,422 kilograms of recognized quantity of vegetables and 458,460 kilograms of mushrooms, and a premium in the amount of 1,996,982 BAM was approved. The average premium increase for certain types is around 18 percent.
