The Ministry of Security denies that Moldovan Citizens were trained in BiH

The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly denied and rejected the media allegations related to the alleged training of Moldovan citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Ministry of Security claims that they have not received any official inquiries from the Moldovan authorities, nor have they been provided with any evidence that would confirm the aforementioned claims.

“Mentioning Bosnia and Herzegovina in this context is clearly an attempt at manipulation in the midst of a heated political campaign in Moldova, which is electing the president of the Republic on October 20. We especially emphasize that Bosnia and Herzegovina is deliberately placed in this context because it is a country that has not imposed sanctions on the Russian Federation. That is why it is suitable for certain centers to market such constructions at its expense,” the Ministry announced.

They emphasized that the position of the Ministry of Security and security agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a neutral policy. It should be emphasized here that the policy of BiH is to follow the positions of the European Union.

“The Ministry of Security would not tolerate and will not tolerate the appearance of any training camps, no matter whose interests they work for. The very fact that such media allegations are the result of political interests and campaigns, and not the existence of any credible information about the involvement of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the destruction of stability of Moldova, confirms that this is an attempt to destabilize international relations. The Ministry calls on all media and competent authorities to report responsibly and verify information before publication, in order to avoid the spread of misinformation that may have negative consequences for international relations,” they conclude in a statement.

Moldovan police said on Thursday they had uncovered a program in which hundreds of their citizens were taken to Russia to be trained to cause riots and civil unrest, the latest in a series of attempts to interfere in Sunday’s election. They pointed out that some of them underwent training in camps connected to private military companies on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Serbia.
