The Economic Fair in Mostar, which was held in the period from April 12 to 16, gathered at one place a large number of businessmen from 24 countries, who agreed to cooperation and business in all branches of economy.

Spokesman of the Mostar Fair Oliver Cvitković said that the fair not only met the expectations, but even exceeded them.

“We are absolutely satisfied with results of the fair. Looking at the total number of exhibitors and visitors and with the analysis of agreed projects, I can say we had the best fair in the past eight years. This was especially contributed to by Turkey as a partner country, because they significantly animated many business meetings and a great deal of cooperation,” Cvitković said.

Especially satisfied with the fair were exhibitors from China, Taiwan and Turkey, who announced their arrival next year as well.

“Investors from Taiwan want to invest in healthy food, and they are very interested in the production of immortelle, a plant used for the production of essential oils that they want to import to Taiwan. On the other side, there was a definite agreement on a project between Elektroprivreda HZ HB and the company Siemens from Germany for the beginning of construction of the wind power plant Mesihovina near Tosmialvgrad. The value of the project is 86 million EUR,” Cvitković said.

However, it should be pointed out that the project of the construction of wind power plant Mesihovina was launched back in 2010, when the president of FBiH at the time Borjana Krišto laid a corner stone for the construction of this wind power plant.

The supplier of equipment was selected in March 2016, and production of the first kilowatts of electricity is expected by the end of 2017.

Partner country for the next year’s 20th International Economic Fair Mostar will be the Republic of Croatia. Turkey also announced the arrival with its businessmen, with the desire to have a national booth again, i.e. a place where all Turkish exhibitors will be gathered.
