The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted today the Draft Law on Immunity, which stipulates that the highest holders of executive power in the RS are not criminally or civilly responsible for any procedure performed within the framework of their duties and thus protect themselves as well as the holders of legislative and judicial power.
47 deputies voted for this act, and none were against and none abstained.
In the explanation of this act, it is stated that the reason for the adoption of the draft law “is the fact that the existing legal solution, which was imposed on October 6, 2002 by the then high representative, leaves the possibility of conducting criminal proceedings against the highest holders of the executive power, which affects the independence and the functioning of the executive power”.
This draft law will be sent to a public hearing for 30 days.
Deputies also adopted the Draft Law on Referendum and Citizens’ Initiative, the aim of which is to implement the referendum more efficiently and economically in the Republic of Srpska.

The National Assembly of the Republika Srpska adopted today in Banja Luka the Law on the production of weapons and military equipment in the RS, the aim of which is the improvement and development of this production.
The area of production of weapons and military equipment has not been normatively regulated in the Republika Srpska, so this law establishes a comprehensive and high-quality legal framework for the first time, and the production of weapons and military equipment will be regulated as an activity of strategic interest.
The MPs adopted the Law on Electronic Money, which regulates the concept of electronic money and its issuance, while domestic farmers will benefit from the application of this legal solution.
On the day of voting, amendments to the Law on Agricultural Cooperatives, amendments to the Law on Compulsory Traffic Insurance were adopted.
Amendments to the Act on Hospitality were also adopted.
On the day of voting, the Draft Law on Hunting and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Special Regime for the Execution of Prison Sentences were adopted.
The Parliament of RS also adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Geological Research, which states that the goal is to encourage the economic development of RS by creating a stimulating legal framework for investments in the field of geological research, and this act will be sent to a public debate.
