The National Assembly of the Republika Srpska supported by a two-thirds majority the veto of the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, on the conclusion of the Presidency, which was adopted at the last session without consensus.

Of the 72 deputies present, 66 voted for this decision, while one was against and none abstained.

The decision of the National Assembly of the RS enters into force on the day of its adoption and will be published in the “Official Gazette” of the Republika Srpska.

At a special session, MPs today supported the decision to confirm the statement of the Serbian member of the Presidency of BiH, according to which the conclusion of the Presidency of BiH regarding the “escalation of the attack by the entities of the entity Republika Srpska on the basic provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement and endangering the constitutional and legal order of BiH” was adopted without consensus at the eighth regular session Presidency of BiH on October 10, very harmful to the vital interests of Republika Srpska.

Serbian member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said that “the conclusion of the Presidency regarding the escalation of the attack by the Republika Srpska authorities on the fundamental provisions of the Dayton Agreement and endangering the constitutional and legal order of the state of BiH” is not only extremely untrue and tries to present the political situation in BiH in a malicious way, but is also functional directed towards the realization of the goals of the unitarist policy represented by political actors based in Sarajevo.

In her address at the special session of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska on the veto, Cvijanović emphasized that there was also a malicious attempt to identify the institutions of the Republika Srpska and its representatives as the sole “culprits” for the long-term crisis that BiH is going through, as well as the false accusation that the institutions of the Republika Srpska Serbs aimed at jeopardizing the Dayton Agreement and the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition, Cvijanović added, the proponent of the disputed act is not only directly dealing with the internal political situation in BiH, but is also trying to further internationalize this issue, invoking, among other things, sanctions for institutions and individuals from Republika Srpska from the EU, USA, OHR , and neighboring countries are also treated by the conclusion, Srna reports.
