New Apostolic Visitator for Medjugorje Msgr. Aldo Cavalli arrived in Medjugorje on Friday night. The new visitator for Medjugorje is planned to lead the Holy Mass today at 11 a.m., the Information Office in Medjugorje said.
Cavalli arrived in Medjugorje after completing his ministry as apostolic nuncio in the Netherlands.
As previously said from the dioceses of Mostar-Duvanj and Trebinje-Mrkanj, his ministry as an apostolic visitator has an exclusively pastoral character, ie to accompany the parish community in Medjugorje and the believers who come to that parish and require special attention.
Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Msgr. Aldo Cavalli as Apostolic Visitor for Medjugorje after Polish Archbishop Henryk Hoser passed away this summer.
