One of the biggest football talents in North America, Malik Jakupović (16), yesterday signed a senior contract with Philadelphia. His father shared photos from different stages of his childhood to mark the moment.

In both the US and Bosnia and Herzegovina, media write about Jakupović almost every day. At just 16, he is already a senior football player, and his height and build have drawn a lot of attention.

He was noticed after scoring two amazing goals in the US win over England, as reported before.US soccer websites have been writing for over a year that Jakupović might choose to play for the Dragons in the future.

The post by Malik’s father, Nedžad, sharing a series of photos of his son, shows this exceptionally talented teenager has always loved Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The first photo is the favorite. Malik, admiring Edin Džeko, posed wearing a Bosnia and Herzegovina jersey with Džeko’s name on it.

“To my son – I couldn’t be any more proud to watch you grow not only as a player but as a young man. This is all you ever wanted and your dream came true, we wish you nothing but health, happiness, and success,” his father posted.

Malik Jakupović, who already holds Bosnian and Herzegovinian citizenship and would not face any administrative obstacles to play for the Dragons in the future, recently played an incredible qualification cycle for the Northern and Central America Championship with the US.

Jakupović played three qualifiers and scored eight goals, along with one assist.

Thanks to the efforts of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and media coverage when he was only 15 years old, it is very likely that this powerful striker will play forBosnia and Herzegovina. He may be the next Edin Džeko, as his physique is similar to Džeko’s.

He scored 12 goals in seven matches for the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team, which shows what kind of talent he is.
