The Banja Luka Police Department issued a decision banning a public meeting organized by the City Organization of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 25 at 12 noon in Banja Luka.

“The Banjaluka Police Department made a decision after analyzing all the security aspects and circumstances of this public meeting, bearing in mind that in recent days there have been many negative reactions to this public meeting, as well as operational information that citizens are being publicly invited by individuals to mass gathering in order to prevent the holding of this public gathering,” the Banja Luka Police Administration announced.

It is added that, in accordance with the above, it has been estimated that there is a real possibility that this public meeting could lead to greater endangerment of people and property, as well as a serious danger of violence or disruption of public order and peace on a larger scale.

“The Banja Luka Police Department appeals to citizens to respect positive legal regulations and not to endanger others with their behavior,” the announcement states.

Previously, Vojin Mijatović, vice-president of the SDP BiH, announced on social media that for the third year in a row, he will hold a ceremonial academy on the occasion of the anniversary of ZAVNOBIH and the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on November 25 at 12 noon at the Marriot Hotel in Banja Luka, AA reports.
