The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, June 1, and talk with the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers, Borjana Kristo.
Costa’s arrival at the BiH Presidency is planned for 3 pm, after which a meeting will follow.
With his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Costa will begin a tour of the countries of the Western Balkans, during which he will meet with the leaders of the region until Friday, June 5, and co-chair the EU Summit – Western Balkans in Tivat, the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
It was announced that Costa will discuss opportunities and challenges related to enlargement, gradual integration, regional cooperation, security and stability with the interlocutors.
Ahead of the visit, Costa stated that his second visit to the Western Balkans sends a clear signal – the EU’s commitment to the region is real, as is the opportunity for enlargement.
“The momentum is there. Now is the time to get results,” Costa said.
