Work on the construction of the largest detention unit in the Balkans is coming to an end, the main facility already has its final appearance, and the furnishing of cells and other prison rooms is underway.

There are photos and videos of the Sarajevo Prison on Igman from the air, which will contain the Administration Building, 150 prison cells, and supporting elements.

In the 18 months since construction began, a lot of work was done and the building was completely built.

It is the most modern and state-of-the-art prison complex in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), which is being built with funds from the Government of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) and the European Union (EU) in the amount of 4.6 million euros.

A total of 300 prisoners will be housed in the Detention Unit on Igman, Avaz reports.
