12782143_1733507430219267_602379901_nSeveral decades long story about the construction of the regional water supply Plava voda – from Travnik to Zenica – could become a reality soon.

Namely, as the session of the House of Peoples of Parliamentary Assembly BiH, which is scheduled for the 2nd of March, there is an item on approval the ratification of the Loan Agreement (the Project “Regional water supply Plava voda“) between BiH and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The Presidency of BiH at the 14th regular session, which was held on the 28th October 2015, decided to accept the Loan Agreement (the Project Regional water supply Plava voda) between BiH and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and authorized the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH to sign it.

With the finalization of the closing financial construction of 22 million EUR of loan funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Bank and the Council of Europe Bank, as well as procedures for issuing the international public invite, the start of works on the main 33 kilometers long section is expected in the spring.

The project will ensure long-term, continuous and high-quality water supply for five municipalities: Travnik, Zenica, Novi Travnik, Vitez and Busovaca, from which will benefit about 250,000 citizens of these municipalities and business people from this part of BiH.
