In 2023, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed 125 indictments against 299 persons, which brought this prosecution to a total of 7,205 accused persons, i.e. a total of 1,130 accused persons for war crimes and serious violations of international humanitarian law.

According to the data of the State Prosecutor’s Office, last year indictments were brought in some of the most complex cases for war crimes, and in a large number of cases in the field of organized crime and corruption, as well as significant indictments in terrorism cases, including seven indictments in cases with evidence from SKY and the ANOM application.

The latter (SKY and ANOM) refer to more than 60 defendants, including defendants who were employees of police agencies and law enforcement institutions, and the first final verdicts in these cases were recorded.

Final verdicts were handed down in important corruption cases, a large amount of illegal property benefits were confiscated, and fines in the amount of more than 5.3 million BAM were imposed.

More information on the work and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office will be presented in the annual Information on Work, which, in accordance with the law, will soon be sent to the competent institutions, as well as in the planned parliamentary procedure, announced the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
