The program of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees restores and reconstructs residential units for returnees, displaced persons and refugees, and today in Doboj 100 returnee families signed contracts on the allocation of building materials for the construction and reconstruction of residential units.

The contracts with the beneficiaries were signed by the Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, Edin Ramić.

“One hundred families in Doboj will finish building their homes. It means that they have solved the basic question in their life. It is the dream of every human being. It is important to note that the City of Doboj is the only local community in Bosnia and Herzegovina that co-finances the construction of housing units. The total value of the contracts signed today is over 976,000 BAM. The Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees co-finances with 51 percent, while the City of Doboj participates with the remaining 49 percent. This is an opportunity to emphasize the good cooperation of the city administration with the Ministry. In addition to housing units, we jointly realize the construction of infrastructure and other joint projects,” said Minister Ramić.

The contract was also signed by Nadid Kavazovic from the Pridjel settlement in Doboj.

“We belong to a martyr family, I live with my mother, wife and children. I am the father of three children, therefore we needed to upgrade the house, which is currently not a condition for the stay of my whole family. With the help of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees and the city administration of Doboj, we solved our biggest problem. This makes us more determined to stay here and develop our family,” said Kavazović, as reported by the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees.
