The Red Cross of the City of Bihac distributed record figure of 900 meals to migrants in the improvised center of the Students Home Djakovo in this town, and the number of migrants is increasing.

“The kitchen team has more and more work since the number of meals is increasing. A large number of new migrants came to Bihac as well. The number of divided meals reached the figure of 900,” as noted from the organization.

They also noted that volunteers at the info desk worked very hard on collecting the data and recording the needs of migrants. They also distributed more than 150 blankets that were donated by UNHCR Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the medical team recorded 11 interventions.

Volunteers from the Red Cross of the Municipality of Orasje and Red Cross of the Municipality of Banovici arrived in Bihac, and volunteers from from several humanitarian organizations in Italy visited this city a few days ago as well.

To recall, from the Red Cross of the City of Bihac announced that they will stop the preparation of meals for migrants in Bihac due to the lack of funds at the beginning of the month of June, but the Red Cross of the FBiH reached an agreement with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on the provision of funds for meals for migrants in the area of Bihac on June 6.
