During the exhumation on unmarked plots at the location of the Lukavac City Cemetery, the almost complete remains of two people were found.
According to preliminary information, it is about persons of Serbian nationality missing in the mentioned area, announced the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The exhumed remains were sent for further forensic-medical processing and identification of the missing persons through DNA analysis.
The exhumation process was coordinated by an investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office.
The forensic pathologist, representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, necessary workers and machinery, as well as members of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs, who secured the location and provided forensic technical support in the exhumation process, participated in the exhumation process, it is stated in the statement.
