For this year’s collective funeral for the victims killed in the area of Vlasenica, which will be held on Saturday, April 22, at the Rakita Martyr’s Cemetery, the remains of two victims are ready.

The protocol provides for a tribute and a religious program from 12:00 p.m., and after the noon prayer, a funeral prayer will be held, which will be led by the mufti of Tuzla, Vahid Fazlović.

The spokeswoman of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amza Fazlić, said that Osmo (Ibro) Efendić, born in 1961 in Vlasenica, will be buried in this cemetery this year.

He disappeared in 1992 in the Pelemiš area in Šekovići, and his remains were exhumed in the Pelemiš area in August 2004, 12 years after his disappearance.

Fazlić notes that Efendić was officially identified last year, but the family was not able to come to the collective funeral then, so the burial was extended for this year.

This year, Rahman (Safet) Hrnjić, who was born in 1979 on Baćino brdo in Vlasenica, will also find his final resting place.

“He was only 13 years old when he disappeared in the town of Klještani. His remains were found 11 years later during the discovery of the Ogradica mass grave in Vlasenica,” emphasized Fazlić.
