The results of the autopsy of the body of the newborn, which was found on September 5 near the Vrbas Bridge in Bugojno, showed that the baby died as a result of drowning.

Investigators from the Ministry of the Interior of the Central Bosnia Canton (MUP SBK) are leading this crime as murder, and detailed investigations are underway in an attempt to find the parents of the newborn.

Also, it is unofficially known that the investigators do not believe that they are persons from Bugojno.

So far, it is certain that the baby was born alive, which was also shown by the autopsy findings.

The inspection of hospitals, health centers and maternity hospitals has so far not brought any progress in the investigation, so it is believed that the birth was not performed under medical supervision.

The investigation goes further, and investigators hope to find the identity, primarily, of the child’s mother.
