The cooperation between the RS and Serbia continues through the realization of concrete projects, and it was announced that 16 conclusions of general interest for development, mutual cooperation and plans of the RS and Serbia were adopted on yesterday’s session.

The Prime Minister of the RS Zeljka Cvijanovic noted that the Government adopted a conclusion in which was stated that the first joint projects of the RS and Serbia in the energy sector will be the construction of two hydro power plants – “Foca” and “Paunci”. The total installed capacity will be 90 megawatts and the value of these projects will amount to a total of 200 million EUR.

“This will be the first time for our electric power companies to realize an important project together. I hope that this will be the way to open the door for future cooperation in the field of energy, where we have large resources and potentials, which is why we want to put all of that in the function of the development of the RS and Serbia, as well as society and all of our citizens,” stated PM Cvijanovic.

She noted that activities on these projects will started already in the month of September, while intensive preparation of their implementation is planned for the year of 2019. Prime Minister Cvijanovic especially thanked the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic for supporting the realization of these important projects.
