The 45th International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry “Fair of Plum” was opened in Gradacac, and a total of 320 exhibitors from BiH and regional countries will present their products and services.

Besides presentation of food and drinks, agricultural machinery and protective equipment, there will also be expert-scientific lectures, a series of round tables and exhibitions as well as presentations of programs from the sector of agricultural business.

The fair was officially opened by Valentin Inzko, the High Representative of OHR in BiH.

The main novelty at this year’s fair is the first fair of beekeeping with international participation. Scientific works will be presented during this fair, and the best graded honey will receive the award.

“The International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry in Gradacac is always a good reason to further note the importance of agriculture for the economy of our country. Moreover, it also represents an opportunity for the sectoral institutions to present the production facilities to investors who attend the fair,” said Hasim Sabanovic, the Director of the Fair.

The Government of the FBiH is investing maximum effort in the development of this sector and we invest around 70 million BAM in agriculture on an annual basis in the form of grants, which may not be some large money, but if you realize that we are doing it for 20 years, then you can see  that money of over one billion had to give a result,” concluded Prime Minister Fadil Novalic.
