The Signing of the Agreement on Co-financing the Department of Tuberculosis in Travnik Today

UNDPThe Contribution Agreement between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of the Central Bosnia Canton will be signed today at the Hospital for Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis in Travnik and the opening of the reconstructed Department of Tuberculosis Control. Assistant of UNDP Resident Representative Armin Sirčo and Prime Minister of the Central Bosnia Canton Tahir Lendo will sign the agreement.

Reconstruction of the Department for Tuberculosis Control is funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM), and is implemented in the framework of the project “Strengthening the DOTS strategy and improvement program against tuberculosis, including the control of the strains resistant to multiple drugs and to control the spread of infection in B&H”.

UNDP enables as well the procurement of necessary drugs to treat tuberculosis and patients to get the treatment for free.
