The Text of the PARP Assessment for BiH was adopted in Brussels

The delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović, participated in the working meeting on the topic “Assessment of the Planning and Review Process (PARP) BiH – 2022”, which was held on November 10, 2023. at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

The purpose of the working meeting was to evaluate the PARP process of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the past period through multinational consultations of representatives of NATO members, invited partner countries and BiH. The assessment also presents the current status of implementation of plans and the progress of BiH regarding defense reform, transformation of the Armed Forces of BiH, training, exercises and operations in which members of the Armed Forces of BiH participated.

The ultimate goal of the meeting was the adoption of the text of the document, which in the final version will be sent for approval to the ambassadors – permanent representatives of NATO member countries. The BiH delegation thanked the NATO members for their unreserved support and cooperation in the past period, and information was conveyed on the status of the implementation of accepted obligations, as well as the progress and implementation of the NATO partnership.

At the end of the presentation, it was concluded that BiH is ready and determined to continue the implementation of all started activities and commitments, with thanks for the selfless support of both partner countries, as well as NATO Headquarters Sarajevo and EUFOR, regarding the implementation of partner goals, the development of OCC E&F capacity, support in the Defense Capability Building (DCB) program, training of members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire integration process.

Representatives of NATO member countries and partner countries emphasized very good cooperation with BiH, recognized the progress of BiH in the implementation of partner goals, and supported and encouraged BiH in the continuation of defense reform. The meeting ended with the unanimous acceptance of the proposed text for the adoption of the document “Estimation of PARP BiH 2022”.
