The Total Exchange of BiH was 22.3 Billion BAM

At today’s session, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Analysis of Foreign Trade Exchange of BiH for the period I. – VI. 2023, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.

The total trade of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first half of 2023 was 22 billion and 300.63 million BAM, of which the value of exported goods was 8 billion and 682.04 million BAM, and the value of imported goods was 13 billion and 618.59 million BAM , while the foreign trade deficit amounted to 4 billion and 936.55 million BAM.

The total foreign trade exchange registered a decrease of 2.14 percent in this period compared to the same period last year, with a decrease in imports by 0.61 percent and a decrease in exports by 4.46 percent, while the foreign trade deficit increased by 6.99 percent, it was announced. is from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The press release states that the European Union is still our main foreign trade partner and in the total volume of trade, it participated with 64.26 percent, followed by the signatory countries of “CEFTA 2006” with 14.33 percent, while other countries participated with 21 ,41 percent.

Of the main trading partners, the highest coverage of imports and exports in the first half of this year was with Austria 176.59 percent, Croatia 136.22 percent, Slovenia 126.72 percent, Germany 88.04 percent and Serbia 76.83 percent.

The session discussed the Review of the implementation of the conclusions of the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted in the period from January 1 to June 30, 2023, which includes conclusions from the 22 sessions of the Council of Ministers of BiH, namely 16 regular and six extraordinary.

The review included 33 institutions of the BiH Council of Ministers, which implemented 351 or 81 percent of the total of 432 conclusions adopted, while 81 conclusions were not implemented.

The review of the implementation of the conclusions, which was prepared by the General Secretariat of the BiH Council of Ministers, was accompanied by appropriate conclusions that aim to speed up the implementation of the conclusions and thereby improve the efficiency of the work of the BiH Council of Ministers.
