The Trade Union reveals Price of Consumer Basket in BiH

The trade union consumer basket calculated by the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the month of July 2021 amounts to 2,070.79 BAM and is 27.45 BAM more expensive than the consumer basket for the previous month.

The average salary paid in the Federation of BiH for the month of May 2021 was 982.00 BAM and 8.00 BAM is lower than the amount in the previous month.

The coverage of the Trade Union Consumer Basket with the average salary is 47.42%.

When making the Trade Union Consumer Basket, the average salary paid in the Federation of BiH was taken into account, as well as the minimum living costs of a family of four consisting of two adults and two children, one of whom is in high school and the other in primary school.

The consumer basket itself consists of the following categories: Nutrition – 44.2%, Housing and communal services – 15.0%, Hygiene and health maintenance – 6.6%, Education and culture – 5.8%, Clothing and footwear – 14.5%, Transportation – 6.7% and Household maintenance – 7.2%

In the category of food, prices from 3 shopping centers were used for 86 items.
