The trial of six people accused of war crimes against Serbian civilians in the area of Visoko in 1992 will begin on January 17, it was agreed at a status conference in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the hearing, the dynamics of the trial were discussed and instructions were given for actions during the presentation of evidence. Judge Braco Stupar said that the Prosecution had proposed 90 witnesses and that a large number should not be questioned on the same circumstances.
Prosecutor Sanja Jukić said that during the proceedings she will consider the possibility of giving up a certain number of witnesses, reports Detektor.
Zijad Kadrić, Hajrudin Halilović, Asim Hamzić, Amir Murtić, Miralem Čengić and Samir Selimović are accused of crimes against Serbian civilians committed from May to the end of 1992 in the detention facility – the camp, located in the “Ahmet Fetahagić” barracks.
Earlier, the Prosecutor’s Office announced that the indictment charges them with torture, robbery, physical and psychological abuse of civilians from the Visoko area, among whom were women, children and elderly people.
According to the indictment, they were members of the Municipal Headquarters of the Territorial Defense of Visoko, the Armed Forces of the RBiH Army, the Public Security Station and the Military Police.
