The trial of the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalic, and others is scheduled to continue today in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the disputed purchase of respirators worth 10.5 million BAM.

As announced at the previous hearing, on February 16, today the Prosecutor’s Office should invite the Attorney General Jakov Duric to declare himself on the possible filing of a property claim.

At the previous hearing, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted a large amount of material evidence, including two contracts, one company from Serbia “Sinofarm” and the other company from Rijeka “Exotrade”, which shows that the purchase of respirators “ACM 812 A “contracted at twice the price.

Among the attached evidence of the Prosecutor’s Office is the opinion of the Federal Attorney’s Office, which determined that the termination of the contract between the Federal Civil Protection Administration and the company “Silver Raspberry” is not possible because the paid 10.5 million was not provided, and there was no possibility to return the money. The money was paid before the respirator was delivered.

Apart from Novalic, in the case of the disputed purchase of respirators, the accused are the suspended director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, Fahrudin Solak, the Minister of Finance of the Federation of BiH, Jelka Milicevic, and the owner of the “Silver Raspberry” company, Fikret Hodzic.

Novalic, Solak and Hodzic are accused of associating in order to commit criminal offenses related to abuse of position or authority and receiving a reward or other form of benefit for trading in influence.

The indictment also charges them with money laundering, falsification or destruction of business or trade books or documents, falsification of official documents and violation of the obligation to keep trade or business books and compile financial statements and their falsification or destruction.

Milicevic is accused of negligent work in the service.
