The U.S. House of Representatives adopted a Law against Foreign Factors that destabilize BiH

Member of the House of Representatives of the United States (U.S.) Congress Ann Wagner (Republican Party), a deputy member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives, announced on her official website that the House adopted the Law on adherence to the principles of the Dayton Peace Agreement through potential sanctions against all foreign nationals who threaten the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Wagner, who is also the proposer of this law, stated that during its drafting she cooperated with the BiH community living in St. Louis, in the federal state of Missouri.

”The St. Louis region is home to the largest Bosnian community outside of BiH. This local community has been a strong partner and I have worked closely with them to ensure that we have the necessary tools to deal with corruption in BiH,” said representative Wagner.

She underlined that the citizens of BiH are suffering due to the direct actions of politicians who recklessly sow divisions in BiH, often with the full support of Russia.

”I hope that the Senate will take urgent measures to adopt this bill so that through sanctions we can help Bosnians to prevent a dangerous political crisis,” Ann Wagner concluded, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

This legislation will protect the Dayton Peace Agreement, preserve decades of progress after a horrific war, and send a clear message that the U.S. supports a peaceful, united, and more secure BiH, BHRT writes.
