The city of Livno signed a memorandum of understanding with the Association for the Development of Rural Tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina Alterural, and the village of Stupe in Livno was awarded the status of the most beautiful village in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aforementioned association, also the holder of the project “The Most Beautiful Village of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, in addition to 15 villages, chose the village of Stupe in Livno and awarded it the status of holder of the label “The Most Beautiful Village of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, the City of Livno announced.

According to the explanation given by Alterural, Stupe met all the criteria for acquiring the designation of the most beautiful village.

The decision to award this title to Stupa was made by the Quality Committee, which consists of renowned and independent experts in the fields of architecture, ethnography, landscape design, heritage conservation, sustainable tourism, rural development and the environment.

By signing the agreement, the parties assumed certain obligations, and their common commitment is to promote, develop and preserve the authenticity of the Stupa.

They will work together to promote the tourist potential of the most beautiful villages in BiH on the domestic and international markets, preserve local nature, cultural and intangible heritage, encourage the education of service providers, organize events and promotions to increase awareness of the “Most Beautiful Village in BiH” label, work to attract tourists , and improve the local economy by encouraging tourism and trade in the region.
