There will be No rise of Prices of Electricity in BiH

At a meeting about the rise of prices of electricity today, there was no agreement. It was pointed out that a detailed market analysis must be done before any decision is made.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Association of Employers of FBiH and the Management of the Public Company Elektroprivreda BiH, Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalic and Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić.

After more than an hour of negotiations, Elektroprivreda, the Government of the Federation and the Association of Employers did not reach a concrete agreement on the announced increase in the price of electricity.

Rising electricity prices, however, were announced only to economic entities.

“There will be no increase in the price of electricity for the citizens,” said Minister Džindić. The resumption of talks is on Monday.

The participants agree that it is necessary to perform detailed analyzes of the situation on the market, which will be done by Elektroprivreda and to submit a report at the next meeting. The main reason for the rise is the rise in prices on the world market.

“So far we have been monitoring prices and it has not had too many oscillations. This year there has been a huge increase, currently it is 150 per megawatt hour. It was agreed to make an analysis. The decision will be difficult, but we will try to find a solution that will be acceptable to everyone, “said Admir Andelija, director of Elektroprivreda BiH.
