The first Center for Women’s Health Empowerment in Bosnia and Herzegovina ‘Think Pink Center’ was opened on Friday in Sarajevo.

The Center will, through a comprehensive approach to women’s health, will provide information and psychosocial support for women. It will also be an educational center on disease prevention, all by European and global guidelines and recommendations. All services will be free of charge.

The Center is located at Trg fra Grga Martića 4, and activities start as early as Monday. Psychotherapy, consultations with medical experts, exercise, and nutritional counseling on a diet adapted to oncology patients will be available at the Center.

It is also planned that the Think pink Center provides services for breast cancer patients from other cantons who have to come to Sarajevo for treatment.

The center will provide these patients with technical and logistical support during treatment, depending on the available accommodation capacity.

The Center will also host meetings of the Think pink network, which gathers associations of patients from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. Professional meetings are also planned, and the first in a series is a meeting of oncology nurses from five oncology centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
