Thinking of Staying in Sarajevo for the New Year? Here are the List, Characteristics and Prices

Hiljade Sarajlija Novu godinu dočekalo uz vatromet i muzikuIf you love open spaces, then you should spend New Year’s Eve at Trg Djece Sarajeva, with Hanka Paldum, Laka, Mirza Šoljanin and contestants from the X Factor all giving performances. There will also be a big firework display exactly at midnight.

If a restaurant ambience would suit you better, Hotel Europe is organizing a New Year’s celebration in two of its halls. Al Dino and Berin Buturović will perform in the Viennese Café and the hotel band, Terzo and Arijana, is set to perform in the restaurant section. The price for reservations (per person) is 60 BAM for the restaurant and 150 BAM for the Viennese Café and includes a festive dinner.

Hotel Radon Plaza also has two celebrations lined up for the New Year. Neno Murić and the band, Čaroban Svijet, will entertain guests in the hotel’s Congress Hall and Kenan Mačković and Mirza Redžepagić will be performing in the Blue Prism rotating restaurant. The price for one admission is 100 BAMand includes a banquet, and every guest can expect to receive a one-day pass for the wellness center as a New Year’s gift.

Should you decide to welcome the New Year at Hotel Sarajevo, the price for admission is 110 BAM and includes a buffet and a performance by the legendary Duško Kuliš and his band.

You can experience the holiday magic of New Year’s Eve at the PAN Winter Pub at the Coca-Cola Sarajevo Holiday Market, where you can enjoy a “New Year’s Party” with the Selam Tufekčić Trio and his special guests.

At the club, Hacienda, guests are looking forward to a club party with the residential DJs. The price of admission ranges from 30 BAM, to “all inclusive” tickets for 100 BAMand VIP booths which cost 600 BAM. Besides the excellent r’n’b and pop music, Hacienda also offers a wide range of food (buffet style) and unlimited drinks.

The pop-rock-funk band, Storia, from Bihać will perform at the club, Mash. Reservations cost 15 BAM and cover the cost of one drink. The DJ duo, El Karinho and Zlijay are set to perform at Pussy Galore, where the party starts at 10:00 p.m. If you buy your ticket before midnight, the cost is 5 BAM, but the cost for those who arrive after midnight is 10 BAM.

Those who love “old town” and folk music will be able to enjoy such music at Coloseum Club. Here you’ll also find the famous tamburitza ensemble, Zorule, from Novi Sad. The cost of admission is 40KM and reservations cost 120 BAM.

At Freaky’s Pub you can ring in the New Year with their Silent Disco Party. It’s possible to reserve a table for four, which costs 100KM and assumes that 50 BAM worth of drinks will be consumed.

Parties will also be held at Monument Jazz Club, Pro ROCK Club Johnny and Cinemas Sloga Club. Admission for these venues will cost 10 BAM.

If you’d like to drift into 2015 to the sound of classical music, don’t miss the New Year’s concert by the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra at the National Theater, which starts at 8:00 p.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m. The price for tickets is 70 BAM.
