Celebrating unity and BiH’s EU path, thousands of citizens gathered in Banja Luka, Mostar, Sarajevo and Tuzla on Saturday 11 May to mark Europe Day. Joined under the slogan Always in the Heart of Europe, four synchronised musical events were held at Kastel in Banja Luka, OKC Abrasevic in Mostar, the square in front of the Sarajevo Youth Theatre and Soni Square in Tuzla.

The audiences had the opportunity to enjoy the music and creativity of 19 artists coming from around the continent. From BiH, there were incredibly talented local artists such as After Affair, Nebs Jack and Andrej Jelic. The events were headlined by OXIA (France) at Kastel, Henry Seiz (Spain) in Sarajevo, Musumeci (Italy) in Mostar and Nippleopeople (Croatia) in Tuzla.

This unique Europe Day celebration was organised by the EU Office in BiH in cooperation with FreshWave, From Herz With Love, Garden of Dreams and Zeus Agency also showcasing the potential of the local musical festival scene and strengthening cooperation for the benefit of the local talents and their audiences.

The dynamic musical programmes exemplified unity, togetherness and the solidarity of BiH citizens united by a love of music. Through dance, music and a vibrant atmosphere, the message of Bosnia and Herzegovina being always in the Heart of Europe was once more powerfully reaffirmed.
