11In 110 cities throughout BiH today a cleaning action called ‘Let’s Do It-Clean the Country in One Day” was held, which included the participation of thousands of volunteers, including politicians.

Citizens from all over BiH are participating in cleaning the environment to mark Earth Day.

It is expected that at the end of the day there will be a total of 100.000 volunteers who will remove around 20.000 tons of garbage.

Volunteers and local politicians responded to the action because, according to them, they want their cities to be clean and beautiful.

The project spokesperson Amir Ćesić told Klix.ba that he is surprised at the number of middle-aged people who participated in the cleaning action.

“In this way we are drawing attention to the problem of environmental pollution in the country. We will not be able to clean the country in one day, but we will get people to start thinking about this issue’’, he said.
