Open-air concerts in Sarajevo and Banja Luka brought together thousands of citizens to celebrate Europe Day, the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

Organised by the European Union Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Municipality of Centar and the Garden of Dreams in Sarajevo, and the Fresh Wave Festival in Banja Luka, these free concerts welcomed visitors of all generations and gave them the opportunity to enjoy performances by world-renowned DJs, as well as regional and local talents.

Seeing thousands of people gathered in Sarajevo and Banja Luka to celebrate Europe Day was a powerful expression of the aspirations of many citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a future in the European Union. Every year on 9 May, we remember the victory over fascism and the birth of the European unification project, and reaffirm our commitment to the values of peace, freedom and cooperation. The future of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in the EU – said the Head of the European Union Delegation and EU Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Luigi Soreca.

In Sarajevo, world-renowned DJ and producer Claptone, known for his mysterious golden mask, treated the audience to a world-class production. The open-air concert was held in front of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly building, turning into an unforgettable and symbolic experience. Along with Claptone, the audience favorite Bonjasky and the young star of the electronic scene Lubnya performed, bringing together international and local talent.

At the same time, the roof of the Dom omladine in Banja Luka hosted an impressive lineup of regional and local artists, and the headliner was Guy Mantzur, a world-renowned name in electronic music and one of the key representatives of the modern progressive and melodic techno sound. The Banja Luka audience had the opportunity to enjoy the musical art of regional stars such as Coeus, Nebs Jack, Mladen Tomić and Ivan Z.

Under the slogan “Our Future, Our Europe”, Europe Day celebrations are organized throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering citizens the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and entertainment activities.
