Thousands of Sarajevo Residents enjoyed Weekend at Trebevic Mountain

Trebevic Mountain was filled with a cheerful atmosphere and wonderful scenes. In order to meet the European Youth Olympic Festival EYOF 2019, the City of Sarajevo organized a big winter party, held under the motto “Trebevic is waking up, we will sled together”.

The host of this event, Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka, expressed satisfaction with the great response of his fellow citizens, saying that Trebevic mountain has become an increasingly attractive destination for all generations:

“Our wish was to gather as many residents of Sarajevo and all snow sports lovers, especially our youngest fellow citizens, for whom we prepared a special program. With these events, we promote our Olympic mountains, let the Olympic spirit that lives in all of us, but also to stimulate a healthy lifestyle,, “Skaka pointed out, and invited all present at the opening ceremony of EYOF on February 10that 7 pm at “Asim Ferhatovic Hase” stadium.

Numerous children, together with their parents, enjoyed sledding in some well-arranged slopes, attended creative workshops and snow games, such as football, skipping ropes, shooting targets, snow-throwing, X and O games, hulahop …

Adults could enjoy the best environment and be relaxed knowing that their children are having a great time.

During the party, popular mascots of the Sarajevo Olympics: Vucko and Groodvy danced with small children. Laka, Mirela and Tarik offered children and the audience with a rich musical program, especially performing the anthem of the popular Groodvy mascot.

All those who decided to spend this Sunday at Trebevic, after driving by a cable car, could use the sleds free of charge. Also, visitors of this winter party were served hot drinks and pancakes.
