The third regular session of the current Assembly of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held on Saturday in Sarajevo.

Parliament determined that the Constitution of the Islamic Community in Serbia is in line with the Constitution of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and gave its consent for its implementation.

After withdrawing of his candidacy by Husejin Smajic, one of the candidates for reisu-l-ulema, the Assembly has established a list of candidates for the reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including: Salem ef. Dedovic, Husein ef. Kavazovic, Muamer ef. Zukorlic, MINA news agency reported.

Afterwards, the candidates presented their work programs for the reisu-l-ulema term of office from 2019 to 2026 to the present Assembly members.

The President of the Election Commission Safet Softic has determined that the electoral body which will elect reisu-l-ulema will meet in Sarajevo on October 12, and by that time candidates will have the opportunity to present their program to the members of electoral body.
