Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Oscar winner Danis Tanovic spoke out after his friend Samir Foco achieved great success by receiving the prestigious Emmy award.
Tanovic posted a photo on his Instagram profile in which he is with photographer Damir Sagolj and composer Samir Foco.
“Pulitzer, Emmy, and Oscar winners; Three close friends from Sarajevo… just thinking how incredible that is… Cheers,” wrote Tanovic.
Sagolj won the Pulitzer Prize for photography in 2018, as part of a team of Reuters photographers, while BiH director Tanovic won an Oscar in 2002 for the film “No Man’s Land”.
It should be recalled that two days ago Samir Foco became the winner of the prestigious Emmy award for sound design in the documentary film “Moonage Daydream”. The sound designer from BiH won the prestigious Emmy award in the category Outstanding Sound Editing For A Nonfiction Or Reality Program (Single Or Multi-Camera).
“Moonage Daydream” is a documentary film about the English singer-songwriter David Bowie. The film was written, directed, produced, and edited by Brett Morgen, and the production uses previously unreleased footage from David’s personal archives, including footage of live concerts, Klix.ba writes.
