Three persons were dead and three injured in a traffic accident on Monday late night at the main road leading to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) city of Bosanska Krupa, located 360 kilometers northwest of the capital Sarajevo.

The accident happened when vehicle of Audi brand of Slovenian registration plates, driving above the speed limit, directly collided with Mercedes van of BiH registration plates, was confirmed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton (MUP USK) to local media on Tuesday morning.

Wet road, and snow that was falling on Monday, with driving above the speed limit were the main causes of traffic accident when driver of Audi car lost control over the vehicle.

Two men, 28 and 22 years old, and 26 years old women who were in Audi car, died immediately.

Two persons who were in a van, namely 40 years old man and 11 years old boy, are severely injured, and one 48-years old man is slightly injured, and all are currently on treatment in a local hospital.

After the investigation was finished four hours after midnight local time, the cars were moved to the premises of the MUP USK for further detailed analysis.
