Today’s guest of the mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, was the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

This is a continuation of the talks and agreements based on the Memorandum that was signed during the recent visit of Mayor Karić to the Albanian capital.

“Strengthening dialogue, unity and regional ties towards building stronger local communities”, said Karić.

The fraternal ties between Sarajevo and Tirana are also strengthened within the Network of Balkan Cities B40. In 2025, the city of Sarajevo will take over from Tirana the role of leader of the Network and be the proud host of the Balkan Summit.

The reception was attended by Deputy Mayor Anja Margetić Stakić and City Council Chairman Jasmin Ademović.
