Another factory for the automotive industry production was opened in Gradacac. For the beginning, a total of 71 workers were employed and that number will be at least four times higher in a few years.

The entire production is intended for the automotive industry and everything will be exported.

Buyers include some of the most important manufacturers in the world of automotive industry such as Benteler, a German giant with revenues that reach 8 billion EUR and almost 30.000 employees in 40 countries all over the world.

“The new factory will be working fully for the automotive industry. We have 71 employees in the new plant for the time being but we have much bigger plans for the future. Our plan for the turnover in the new factory to reach 55 million EUR in 2021, and that will bring new workplaces, and we are planning to have about 300 workers in 2021,” said the director of TMD Group from Gradacac, Adem Hanic.

Production in TMD factories is conducted on the most modern equipment.

“We are working on automating and optimizing our factory processes. All of our equipment is automated. We already installed a robot in the new drive and 7 more are ready for it,” stated Hanic.

To recall, TMD Group Gradacac currently employs a total of 671 workers in four factories: Kovgrad and TMD Automotive in Gradacac, UTL in Sarajevo and TMD Mibo in Brcko. This company works for the largest companies in the world when it comes to the production of components for the automotive industry. Some of them are Schaefller, SKF and NTN / SNR.
