Today is Day of Mourning in Tuzla Canton

At the extraordinary session held today, the Government of Tuzla Canton declared Monday, August 14 a day of mourning in the area of Tuzla Canton, due to the murders of innocent citizens in the area of Gradačac.

As previously announced by Prime Minister Halilagić, the Day of Mourning will be declared the day when the funeral of Nizama Hećimović, the woman killed by Nermin Sulejmanović, takes place.

The members of the Government of Tuzla Canton will respect the wishes of the family members that none of the officials attend tomorrow’s funeral.

On the Day of Mourning, all authorities and institutions in the area of Tuzla Canton will position their flags at half-mast.

All media houses and other means of information, as well as organizers of cultural, artistic and sports events in the area of Tuzla Canton, are obliged to adapt their program content to the Day of Mourning.
