The prices of oil in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are increased by five pfennigs and will soon be two BAM per liter, which is a record price this year, announced for the Anadolu Agency (AA) Vahida Crnalić from the Ministry of Trade Federation BiH.
“The last few days we constantly receive requests related to the price increase. This week we received about 150 requests. The prices will go up from today for five pfennig, attaining a price of 1.95 to 2.00 BAM”, said Crnalić.
After the decrease of prices of oil on the world market in recent months, prices of petroleum products in certain parts of BiH in January fell to 1.75 BAM. However, after the increases on the world market, the price of oil in BiH has increased in recent days.
“In BiH this will be the second price increase during these last weeks. In Croatia there were four price increases. Yet the oil in BiH is still the cheapest country in the region”, said Crnalic.
“What is certain is that the increase in the price of oil on the world market in the preceding period influenced the recent rise in oil prices in BiH”, pointed out Crnalic.
Average fuel price in Bosnia and Herzegovina in early December was 2.30 to 2.45 BAM (1.17 to 1.25 euros).
