“I personally would like and pray that the meeting of the Presidency Chairman of BiH, Milorad Dodik, with the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, will help the better atmosphere in our homeland, in our Bosnia and Herzegovina,” was stated by the General Secretary of the Bishop’s Conference of BiH, Monsignor Ivo Tomasevic.

“When it comes to discussion topics, there is a procedure for this, Tomasevic said for Vijesti.ba news portal, pointing out that the meeting between Dodik and the Pope was not discussed at the level of the Bishops’ Conference.

Tomasevic recalled that Pope Francis visited BH and its capital Sarajevo in 2015.

“Therefore, I think it would be good to recall the message that he made on that occasion because they are certainly good for all of us who live here,” added Tomasevic.

The meeting between Dodik and Pope Francis is scheduled for Friday in the Vatican.
