Total of 38 People died of Influenza in BiH

Republika Srpska (RS) Institute for Public Health for the past three days has reported that one patient has died from the consequences of severe acute respiratory infection.

This is an elderly person whose death has been reported by the hospital in Doboj, the Institute stated.

Since January 21st, 38 persons died from severe acute respiratory infections in this BiH entity.

The Institute reminds citizens that it is necessary to take care of respiratory hygiene and hygiene of their living and working environment, and to respect the recommendations of the competent institutions during visits in hospitals.

RS Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Seranic said today that last week was the peak of the flu season and that a fall in the number of people infected is expected.
