Today Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism Branka Đurić during an official visit to Bosnian Podrinje Canton (BPC) held a meeting with the Ministers and Prime Minister of BPC Emir Frašto.
The reason for today’s meeting is the joint activities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnian Podrinje Canton that will improve the situation in the sector of environment and tourism in the area of this Canton.
“The Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Fund for Environmental Protection of FB&H, same as so far is available to this canton, that with joint efforts and cooperation to improve the situation of environment and tourism, whose potentials have not been sufficiently used and to offer employment opportunities and better life in this canton”, said the minister Đurić for the news agency Fena.
She informed the Prime Minister Frašto about the activities undertaken from Federation of B&H to improve the situation in the area of environment and tourism in Goražde through co-financing of projects of the Ministry and Funds for Environmental Protection.
During the meeting, in the field of tourism was also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the development of cantonal tourism strategy, which should be consistent with the strategy of Tourism of FB&H.
Đurić expressed the support of Federal Ministry in the field of improvement of tourism infrastructure on the river Drina.
