SarajevoThe terrorist attacks that happened in the settlement Rajlovac in Sarajevo is a bad thing for B&H and its citizens, and most certainly is not a positive thing for tourism either, said in a statement the Spokeswoman of the Tourist Association of Canton Sarajevo Asja Hadziefendic-Mesic.

“We know that tourism is very sensitive to these kinds of events, but it is also a fact that terrorism is a global problem and not just a problem of B&H,” said Hadziefendic-Mesic.

He believes that the number of trips will most certainly be reduced at the global level, since tourists will harder decide to go to a journey.

“I do not consider it as something that has something to do only with us. However, we will follow the situation and see what will happen because we are all interested in resolving of this situation.”

Since 1997 when the statistics started to record tourist visits, B&H is recording increase in the number of tourists every year, and the number of overnight stays at the state level was increased by 20 % in September this year, while in the Federation of B&H it was increased by more than 35 % compared to the last year.

Spokeswoman of the Tourist Association of Canton Sarajevo Asja Hadziefendic-Mesic emphasized that there are important recommendations of tourist media for B&H as a destination to be visited in the next year.
