Training on Improving the Status of Women Victims of War for Lawyers and NGO Representatives

zena_zrtvaThe Local Democracy Foundation, as part of the project “Improving the status of women victims of war in B&H” is organizing tomorrow the first day of the training in the field of criminal legislation, which is foreseen to educate lawyers and to inform representatives of NGOs that gather and provide support to women victims of war in B&H.

The second day of the training is foreseen to coordinate the operation of informal networks of NGOs.

The aim of this project is to improve the status of women-victims of rape and torture during their testimony in front of courts and to provide legal and psychological assistance before, during and after the trial, as well as strengthening the capacity of organizations that provide support to victims with the intention of establishing a mutual partnership and partnership with state institutions.

The project is being implemented with the support of Matra program of the Kingdom of Netherlands.
